Online Security
Cyber safety is a broad but extremely important aspect to gain knowledge before you get on the internet, especially if you have kids who are doing the same. Being concerned about this topic and getting informed is an excellent first step. With our Cyber Safety suite of learning resources you can learn more about protecting children and yourself from bullying, abuse, fraud, identity theft and much more
We start off with information on Kids Safety so that you can protect your children from any form of online abuse. Cyber Bullying is the next topic, and delves more specifically into adults and other kids who prey on children causing great harm to their self-esteem and sense of security. The topic of Cyber Predators is explored next to give you an understanding of who Cyber Predators are and how they harm others online. Cyber Scams that lead to loss of money, resources and personal information is tackled next along with the topic of Games and Video safety, Identity Theft and Fraud.
We all share a lot of personal information on the internet and expect a high amount of protection, but internet crimes are rampant and you need to take protecting yourself online into your own hands. Internet Safety and Online Security are the last of the two topics. Online security skills and tips are included to help protect the information you share online as well as actual physical devices, containing sensitive personal information regarding virtually every aspect of your life. Stolen devices are more compromising than losing an ATM card (with the password).

Messages can only be viewed once -- and during the viewing period, the recipient must maintain contact with the device's touchscreen or the snap disappears.
The SnapChat application, which a small team of Stanford University students developed, launched in September 2011 and is available for both Apple iOS and Google Android devices. In May 2013, the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) filed a complaint against SnapChat Inc. with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), alleging that the company is misleading users by encouraging them to believe that pictures are permanently removed from SnapChat servers within seconds of viewing.
In September 2016, the company behind the SnapChat app changed its name to Snap Inc. SnapChat was launched on the NYSE in March 2017.

Antivirus (AV), sometimes known as anti-malware software, is a computer software used to prevent, detect and remove malicious software. With the proliferation of malware, an antivirus software is crucial to protect against a myriad of computer threats. Some products also include protection from other computer threats, such as infected and malicious URLs, spam, scam and phishing attacks, online identity (privacy) theft, and online banking attacks.
A specific component of the anti-virus software is commonly referred to as the real-time scanner. This feature hooks deep into the operating system's core functions in a manner similar to how certain malware itself would attempt to operate. Any time the operating system accesses a file, the on-access scanner checks if the file is 'legitimate' or not. If the file is considered a malware by the scanner, the access operation will be stopped, the file will be dealt with, and the user will be notified. So you can see how powerful Antivirus software is and how imperative it is for you to have it!
TheComputerSchool will get you acquainted with common antivirus software out there so that you can choose what’s best for you. You can also access information that will describe the need and importance of an antivirus and how to install and operate it properly.

When the brain is not challenged and used, it starts to age. With aging comes the loss of memory, the inability to problem solve as sharply, and the loss of agility when it comes to learning new things. Breakthrough research has resulted in a powerful approach that involves stimulating the brain regularly through brain exercises. These exercises are engineered to train a range of cognitive functions, keeping the brain alert, flexible and intelligent.
Online tools make it easier to find the right exercises and with easy access you can practice wherever you are.
